We've been invited to perform another makeover! This fic is a oneshot from the Yu-Gi-Oh fandom. Assignments and instructions are below!

Title: Reading Between The Lines
Fandom: Yu-Gi-Oh!
Location: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2954615/1/
Approximate Size: Oneshot, long
Author: TaShYrEi

If there is some reason why you cannot/will not perform this duty please say so. Being assigned to a project does not obligate you in any way and you may exclude yourself at any time for any reason.

Categorical Staff: arizonaicerose - I expect you to make two different notations. You may use the comments feature, highlight feature, or font color feature -- whatever will make the differences both obvious and easy for you to tell apart -- make changes which are absolute such as obvious canon differences or impossibilities. Characterization and things which you feel are out of place should be done in a different format. When you have completed this give the edited work to the_sweet who can then go over and anything within your notations that she agrees with or disagrees with you can discuss between yourselves and determin the best route to take as to if to change that portion of the fic or not. When this is completed you will give the fic to the technical staff member listed below.
Technical Staff: fairest1 - The usual work for you. Grammatical errors are still errors, no matter one's personal feelings. Therefore simply go through and make changes based on the errors which are absolute. Anything you see which may be a personal choice (Such as the use of a semicolon over a comma or prepositional phrases.) you may use the same notation system as the categorical staff. You may use any feature listed above to your convenience for this purpose. When you are finished give the fic to the beta staff member listed below.
Beta Staff: tehmerlechan - Beta staff members just gained a new responsibility. Because there will be notations of personal feelings or choices based on possible changes for the fic when you recieve it there must be something done. Therefore it is now the job of the beta staff to take these to the fanfiction author and discuss the possible changes. If the author agrees then the changes will be made. If not, then the notation will be removed and the fic will be left "as is" on that portion. After this you will go through the fic as usual, looking for any loopholes or plot discrepencies. If the fic looks sound to you then you shall give it to the author for final approval.
General Staff: zandrellia - As usual my job will be to keep up with the progress of this fic and to maintain contact with the staff and author until the project has been completed. If this project is completed successfuly then I will expect the next project to be handled by a different moderator. (just to be fair and even out the workload.)

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask.

Hi! You're more than welcome to take complete part in this.

However, as we've stated in many ways this community is not a beta service. We're more or less like those makeover shows you might see on television. People sometimes enjoy the end results and sometimes they don't. There aren't any garuntees. So we cannot make any promises as to what may or may not be changed. That's entirely up to the staff in charge of their particular areas. Although, since this is an imperfect system we have done our best to include your opinion on as much as we possibly can and hope that by the time it reaches the beta stage your inclusion will make you feel at ease on what is going to occur to your fic. Our staff is not encouraged in any way to re-write your fanfiction. Instead they are only meant to change things which are either impossible (either by rules of canon or by the rules that you yourself created earlier) or grammatically incorrect.

On the other hand... I believe that arizonaicerose, the_sweet, and fairest1, if they find any discrepencies whatsoever (which would include characterization), could make a sort of list of notations where they can mark down what occured in the fanfiction and why they feel it was out of place? Would that be acceptable?

Unlike the makeover shows we don't expect you to live in a house with red walls that have straw pasted to them and be happy with it. When we are finished with your fanfiction you may use it or not, that's entirely up to you. (We will display it here but if you choose to admit to its existance is entirely up to you.)Hopefully I've cleared up some questions.
